Chris McMullen
Head Coach
Coach Chris McMullen played baseball at Mansfield High School, graduating in 2005. He was a pitcher at Cisco Junior College in 2006 and Dallas Baptist University from 2008-2009 seasons. After graduation, Coach McMullen coached freshman and varsity baseball at Arlington High School. At 28 years old, he was hired in 2015 as the head baseball coach at Mansfield Legacy High School, where he coached for 8 seasons with a record of 192-67. His teams made the playoffs all 8 years, finished 1st place for 6 consecutive seasons, and won 4 district championships.
He has been named District Coach of the Year 3 times. In 2022, Coach McMullen led Mansfield Legacy to the 5A state tournament for the 1st time in program history. That same year, Coach McMullen was awarded Coach of the Year by the Dallas Morning News.
Coach McMullen started coaching at Colleyville Heritage High School in 2024. In his 1st season at the helm he helped end a 3 year playoff drought, had 6 players receive All-District Selections, 1 player receive an All-State selection and had the Panthers reach the 2nd round of the playoffs for the first time since 2019. During the 2024 season, Coach McMullen recorded his 200th win.
In 2025, Colleyville Heritage continued to their success, starting the preseason with a ranking of #11 in the state. The Panthers went 12-2 in district play and advanced to the Regional Finals – their furthest since 2019. Coach McMullen had 6 players receive All-District Selections and 1 player receive an All-State selection for the 2nd consecutive year. The Panthers ended the season with a state ranking of #4.
Entering 2026, Coach McMullen will begin his 3rd season as the head coach of Colleyville Heritage.
He teaches Algebra 1 and is married to his wife Kalee and has 2 children, Jack (7) and Beau (4).
